The January current affairs forum will feature guest speaker Zora Bútorová on the topic, “She and He in Slovakia: Gender and Age in the Period of Transition.” Ms Bútorová is one of the key figures in public opinion research in Slovakia. From 1999 to 2003, she lived in Washington, D.C., where her husband served as the Ambassador of Slovakia to the US. Currently she is senior research fellow at the Institute for Public Affairs, focusing on political culture, public opinion, and gender relations.
